PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening device for a fastening member having simple constitution capable of accurately performing fastening operation for the fastening member. SOLUTION: The fastening device for the fastening member positions a hexagon bolt B to a nut N having an opening part Na, and fastens the hexagon bolt B to the nut N. The fastening device is equipped with a rotating shaft body 2 rotated by a rotation drive means 1, a socket 4 which is connected to the tip of the rotating shaft body 2 and to which the hexagon bolt B is fitted, and which is freely advanced and retracted by a first drive means 3, and a guide mechanism 8 which is disposed in a state enclosing the socket 4 and the rotating shaft body 2, and composed of two claw-like members 6, 7 which are openly/closely operated and advancingly/retractingly operated by a second drive means 5. The hexagon bolt B fitted to the socket 4 by inserting the tip part 29 of the guide mechanism 8 in a closed state into the opening part Na of the nut N is positioned and fastened with the nut N.
