<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid polymer electrolyte fuel cell for treating water generated by electrode reaction without degrading energy density. <P>SOLUTION: The solid polymer electrolyte fuel cell comprises an anode electrode on one surface of an electrolyte layer formed of proton conductive resin and a cathode electrode on the other surface, and a collector layer on an opposite surface of the electrolyte layer of each electrode. An anode chamber for accumulating hydrogen is provided on the anode electrode, and a part of the anode chamber has a structure having a part of a lower temperature than an electrode surface temperature to condense and recover water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
