METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROCESSING IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing an image in which an additional image such as a secret mark is added to an original image only when the original image is printed in its necessary period.

SOLUTION: A setting section 12 accepts settings of the additional image such as a watermark to the original image acquired by a scanner 11 etc., the kind of the watermark, and a period of validity of additional watermark, and makes the setting contents correspond to the original image. When the original is outputted image to which the setting contents are made to correspond, the current time is contrasted with the period of validity to outputs the original image with the additional image when the current time is within the period of validity or the original image without the additional image after the period of validity. Validity period information may be set for the original image putting a bar code etc. representing the period of validity together with the original image as well as relating code information.
