<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable communication terminal with a settlement function, a billing and settlement system and an authentication method in billing and settlement having improved security performances at the authentication of a terminal operator, without spoiling operability at the transmission of a settlement request. <P>SOLUTION: The portable communication terminal with a settlement function comprises: a nonvolatile physical information storage part 26 for storing physical information acquired from a terminal user; a physical information reading control part 15 for reading the physical information from the terminal operator; a verification processing part 16 for comparing the physical information read from the terminal operator with physical information stored in the physical information storage part 26 to determine whether or not both match; a short-range radio communication circuit 23 for receiving a payment request from a settlement management apparatus 3 to transmit a settlement request to a settlement management apparatus 3 on the basis of the received payment request; and a transmission control part 17 for permitting the transmission of the settlement request based on the determination result for the physical information to cancel a transmission permission state for the settlement request at predetermined timing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
