<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 2-wire data communication apparatus for enabling 2-way data communication the operating voltage of which is stabilized and that is not susceptible to the effect of noise. <P>SOLUTION: In the 2-wire transmission, DC power is transmitted at an average level of a clock signal and signal superimposition information is transmitted in terms of clock inverting information. At a receiver side, a full wave rectifier circuit extracts the DC power.
