<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record performing data so as to match with bar lines, after the positions where the bar lines are made conscious of. <P>SOLUTION: In the playing data recording system, playing events Pa (..., Pk, ..., Pn, ...), based on the real playing of a user, are successively recorded together with the timing data tp indicating the playing timing as the playing data. When it is detected (ts) that an automatic accompaniment start (e.g. rhythm start) is instructed (Sa) during the playing recording, the automatic accompaniment start instruction Sa is recorded, and the timing tp corresponding to the recorded playing event Pa is corrected, in such a manner that the instruction timing ts thereof matches the timing tb4 of the bar lines.
