<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably and inexpensively manufacturing a vitreous foamed body which does not require a crushing process after foaming and which has a particle size of about 5-70 mm. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the vitreous bulk foamed body comprises a raw material preparing process in which a foaming agent, an inorganic plastic material and an inorganic binder are compounded to a waste glass powder having a particle size of less than 0.6 mm and the mixture is mixed with water, a forming process in which a formed body having a prescribed shape is obtained by forming the prepared raw material and a firing process in which the foamed body is obtained by firing the formed body in a rotary kiln. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
