PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid type torque transmission device capable of improving work efficiency when assembling a member on an input shaft of a transmission. SOLUTION: A torque converter 1 is provided with a main drive shaft 71 of the transmission, a front cover 2, an impeller 10, a turbine 11, and a piston 41 for lock-up. The impeller 10 forms a fluid chamber together with the front cover 2. The turbine 11 is arranged by opposing to the impeller 10 in the fluid chamber to output torque to the main drive shaft 71. The piston 41 for lock-up can move by oil pressure and is movably supported in the axial direction and the direction of rotation by the main drive shaft 71. The main drive shaft 71 has a spline tooth 71a in which torque is inputted from the piston 41 and a supporting outer peripheral face 71b arranged on a transmission side in the axial direction more than the spline tooth 71a and supporting the piston 41.
