PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable and efficient compressor by reducing temperature of a compression element and an electric element in the compressor having the compression element provided above the electric element. SOLUTION: An oil pool 224 is provided on an upper surface of the compression element 203, and a plurality of oil holes 226a, 226b are provided right above an end ring 210 of a rotor 211 and roughly evenly in relation to axial center of the rotor 211. Oil 228 collected in the oil pool 224 drips to the end ring 210 from the oil holes 226a, 226b and oil 228 radiated from the end ring 210 in a horizontally outside returns to a hermetic vessel 201 along a stator 207.
