PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an oil discharge amount from a compressor to secure its performance and reduce generation of noise. SOLUTION: An electric element 14 as a drive element, first and second rotary compression elements as compression elements disposed under the electric element 14 to be driven by a rotational shaft 16 of the electric element 14 are housed in a sealed container 12 to constitute a rotary compressor 10 (compressor). In this case, a refrigerant discharge pipe 96 communicating with an upper part of the inside of the sealed container 12, and a discharge passage 17 formed in a rotational shaft 16 and opened in the sealed container 12 on an upper side of the electric element 14 are provided, so that the refrigerant compressed by the second rotary compression element 34 is discharged in the sealed container 12 from the opening through the discharge passage 17.
