PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint structure of a submerged case which facilitates the operation of attaching a rubber gasket to an opening end of a submerged case element, and which reduces costs by reducing the number of components such as bolts. SOLUTION: The two submerged case elements 20a, 20b, which are adjacent to each other, are connected to each other by sandwitching the rubber gasket 10 between the opening ends 21a, 21b of each of the submerged case elements. In the joint structure of the submerged case obtained in this way, the housing part 22, which is nearly concave in cross section for housing part of the rubber gasket 10, is formed on the surface 21a of the opening end of one submerged case element 20a along the edge of the opening part. Then the rubber gasket 10 is housed within the housing part 22, and is compression-deformed by being sandwitched between the opening ends 21a, 21b, thus used by being brought into intimate contact with the undersurface of the housing part 22.
