PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration isolator rubber for handheld construction machinery, which can reduce acceleration on the hand side of a handle, without requiring a great change in the structure of the handheld construction machinery such as existing soil tamping equipment. SOLUTION: A rubber layer 8 and a steel plate 9 are vulcanization-molded in the state of being alternately stacked between one side end plate 6 which is fixed to the side of a machinery body 2, and the other side end plate 7 which is joined and fixed to the side of a handle member 3 by means of a bolt 13 and a nut 14. A through-hole 16 is provided in the plate 7 in such a manner as to be opened toward the rubber layer 8, and the nut 14 is fixed on the side, facing the rubber layer 8, of the plate 7 in such a manner as to be aligned with a position of the through-hole 16. An inner end opening, which is opened in such a manner as to face the rubber layer 8, of the nut 14 is closed with a sealing plate 15 whose outer surface side facing the rubber layer 8 is formed as a plane or a concave surface.
