PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door device which enables easy processing of rails, which can secure enough amount of movement, and which enables easy adjustment at the time of installation of the sliding door. SOLUTION: The sliding door device 1 is provided with a sliding door 5 and rails 2 for travelling. The sliding door 5 is arranged at an entrance, and the rails 2 for travelling are attached to the door tip side and the door end side at the top of the sliding door 5. Then the rails 2 for travelling on which travelling wheels 4a, 4b are placed suspend the sliding door 5. The travelling wheel 4b on the door end side is provided from the sliding door 5 in the longitudinal direction of the rails 2 for travelling so that the travelling wheel 4b can move backward and forward.
