PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stand device for a motorcycle capable of remote controlling easily in the riding attitude any as the rider wishes while the motorcycle is stopped unstably and maintaining the self-supported condition of the motorcycle. SOLUTION: By turning the inside 20 of the grip part of a left handlebar toward the rider at the time of stopping, a disc-shaped wire pulley 11 attached to the rotary shaft 9 of a stand body is driven by wire and rotated downward from behind the motorcycle, and is pinched by calipers 2 interlocking with a rear brake by stamping a rear brake pedal 8 when the stand body grounding part 15 is put in contact with the road surface, whereby a strong fixation is generated steplessly to allow keeping the motorcycle in the self-supported condition, and at the time of starting, the rear brake is released to cause storage in the lower part on the body side automatically with the force of a spring 16 installed on the stand body 12 and the body side frame 1.
