PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screwdriver which is convenient when carried or stored due to a reduced height dimension and a reduced horizontal dimension, improved in operability without causing pain even if large force is imposed on the finger of the operator, free from a fear of hurting the finger tip, and excellent in safety. SOLUTION: The screwdriver is formed of a grip portion 1 having a size that is fitted in the palm of the operator, and a shaft portion 2 protruded from a front end of the grip portion 1. The grip portion 1 is formed like an almost cylindrical drum and has a diameter almost the same as that of a grip portion of a hand-held screwdriver of a normal dimension. A thickness of the grip portion 1 is set to a dimension that falls within a finger center area of the user. Further the shaft portion 2 is protruded from the front end of the grip portion 1 by almost the same dimension as the thickness of the grip portion 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
