PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nozzle type ELID grinding method and device capable of grinding the ELID without using electrodes opposite to a grinding wheel, which are conventionally regarded as inevitable, and therefore easily grinding ELID , for example even if a diameter of a grinding wheel becomes small. SOLUTION: This device comprises a conductive grinding wheel 12 having a face contacting a workpiece 1, and an ion supply nozzle 16 supplying electrolysis media 2 including hydroxide ions (OH<SP>-</SP>) on the surface of the conductive grinding wheel, so as to grind the workpiece while electrolyzing the surface of the grinding wheel or dressing it by a chemical reaction.
