PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool main body lower in cost and lighter than an aluminum made one and a cutting tool constituted by installing a cutting insert on it. SOLUTION: This rotary cutting tool main body 1 installing the cutting insert 11 on it is formed of amorphous plastics containing 30 to 60 % of a glass fiber phase by injection molding. A screw hole 8 to fix a cartridge 15 on which the cutting insert 11 is fixed with a fastening method by a bolt 17 with hexagon socket head is formed by fixing it on a bottom part 6 of a tip pocket 5 of the main body 1 in a buried state by a member with female screw (helisert) 19. It is possible to lighten it as it is made of plastics. It is also possible to manufacture it at low cost in comparison with the one formed by machining of a material consisting of a plastic block, a rod material, etc. as it is formed by injection molding.
