PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct welding gun that is suitably used also for indirect welding to a center part of a panel. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a spot-welding device in which a workpiece W is spot welded while being pressurized, wherein the workpiece W is held between a movable electrode 2 driven by an actuator 5 in the axial direction and a fixed electrode 3 placed opposite to the movable electrode. A direct welding mode, in which the movable electrode 2 and the fixed electrode 3 are directly placed opposite to each other with the axial centers aligned, is made switchable with an indirect welding mode, in which the movable electrode 2 or the fixed electrode 3 is relatively moved with the fixed electrode 3 unsituated at the tip end of the movable electrode 2.
