PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quake-resistant school desk capable of providing a schoolchild with an appropriate shelter when an earthquake occurs. SOLUTION: The desk has four leg supports 11a, 11a, 11b and 11b which support a top panel 3. The left and right leg supports 11b and 11b which are located in the rear, and the front and rear leg supports 11a and 11b which are located on the left or right side are connected via a front panel 12 and a side panel 13 respectively, which are separate from each other. The front and rear leg supports 11a and 11b which are located on the left or right side are connected via a gripping means 14 disposed at such a position as can be easily gripped by a person hiding under the top panel 3.
