PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of reducing probability to have trouble in a cleaner body owing to an erroneous operation and improving safety. SOLUTION: A main body side pipe 2 includes a lock pawl to be locked to the suction port of the cleaner body; a button 22 for releasing the lock of the lock pawl to the suction port; and ribs 29 arranged at both sides of the button 22. The height of the ribs 29 is the same as that of the button 22 in a state where the lock pawl is locked to the suction port. Consequently, when a user carelessly depresses the button 22, the lock of the lock pawl to the suction port is prevented from being unlocked. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
