<p>A solid electrolytic capacitor (1) is produced by sealing in a resin package (9) a capacitor element(2) in which an anode (4a) is provided by embedding an anode wire (4) in a sintered body (3) of a metal powder having a valve action and a cathode (5) is provided by forming a metal layer on the surface of the sintered body. A first lead member (6) of a plate shape is connected to the anode wire (4), and an end of the member (6) projects from a side face (9a) of the resin package (9), serving as an anode terminal (T1). A second lead member (7) of a plate shape is connected to the cathode (5), and an end of the member (7) projects from a side face (9b) of the resin package (9), serving as a cathode terminal (T2). By generally horizontally extending the first and second lead members (6, 7) at generally the same height from the bottom of the resin package (9), and by using portions exposed from the resin package (9) as the anode and cathode terminals (T1, T2), the lead length between the anode (4a) and the anode terminal (T1) of the capacitor element (2) and the lead length between the cathode (5) and the cathode terminal (T2) are made short wherever possible, enabling low ESL.</p> |
