<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor transfer characteristic analyzer capable of analyzing the characteristics of a motor in a short time and makes it possible to arbitrarily and easily generate and set patterns of excitation signals required for analyses. <P>SOLUTION: A motor driving device 10 is constructed of: an excitation pattern storing means 12 that stores excitation patterns in a rewritable manner; an excitation signal generating means 14 that generates an excitation signal according to an excitation pattern; a torque controlling means 18 that controls a motor with an excitation signal taken as a torque command; a speed detecting means 22 that detects motor speed; and a speed data storing means 24 that stores a predetermined amount of motor speed. A computer 30 is constructed of: a speed data storing means 32 that receives motor speed from the speed data storing means 24 and stores it; an excitation pattern generating means 34 that generates excitation patterns; and a characteristic analyzing means 36 that analyzes the transfer characteristic of a motor based on speed data and an excitation pattern.
