PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a multilayer film which enables a self-supporting film to be easily removed from a support while ensuring adhesion between a high heat-resistant polyimide and a thermoplastic poyimide of the multilayer film. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the multilayer film having at least two kinds of polyimide layers is provided. The method comprises the process of casting at least two kinds of solutions, which are selected from a solution containing a polyimide resin precursor and a solution containing a polyimide resin, on a support by coextrusion and forming two or more layers, i.e., a plurality of layers. In at least one solution of the solutions used for the coextrusion a chemical dehydrating agent and a catalyst are contained, the chemical dehydrating agent and the catalyst are used in specific amounts, and the surface roughness Ra of the support is in the range of 0.002-1μm.
