PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that locking/unlocking detection accuracy is not high in a conventional garbage treatment machine which detects a current flowing in a drive motor, judges an agitation blade to be in a locked state when the current is not lower than a specified values detected and applies a current to the motor for unlocking. SOLUTION: The garbage treatment machine has a current detection means for detecting the current value of the driving motor 4, unlocks the agitation blade 3 when the current value detected by the current detection means is greater than a lock judging value determined in advance and changes operation of the blade 3 and tries to unlock the blade 3. The lock judging value is reduced to a smaller value as the time of unlocking operation extends longer, and therefore, the lock judging value can be kept to an appropriate value according to change in the current value accompanying rise in temperature of winding of the drive motor 4.
