PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article for bio-related substance, which is used for separation and purification of protein, a cell, nucleic acid, etc. in a medical and biochemical analysis fields, may reduce bio-related substance adsorption, is hardly attached by contaminants, and has high water resistance and strength and a method of manufacturing the same, and coating composition for adsorption preventive of a bio-related substance and a method of using the same. SOLUTION: The article for bio-related substance includes a coating formed by making a coating composition for adsorption prevention of bio-related substance to make contact with a surface of the article for bio-related substance and heating the composition, the coating composition including: (A) a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing raw material monomers including a monomer A1 shown by the following general formula (1) and an active hydrogen group-containing monomer A2; (B) a cross-linking agent reactive with an active hydrogen group; and (C) a solvent. Here, the formula (1) is CH<SB>2</SB>=CR<SP>3</SP>COOR<SP>1</SP>OR<SP>2</SP>, wherein R<SP>1</SP>represents a 1-4C alkylene group, R<SP>2</SP>a 1-4C alkyl group, and R<SP>3</SP>a hydrogen atom or a methyl group.
