PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a Carrier RSSI highly precisely without increasing a power consumption. SOLUTION: An AGC control section 15 obtains an AGC address for controlling a gain of a reception amplifier 10 on the basis of a digital signal before it passes through a channel filter 13 for suppressing a component of adjacent channels. An address-RSSI conversion section 17 converts the AGC address value into the RSSI and provides an output thereof as a Pre_RSSI value. A power calculation circuit 18 obtains a power average Pm of the digital signal passing through the channel filter 13. A Carrier RSSI calculation section 19 uses the power average Pm to correct level variations caused in the Pre_RSSI value. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
