PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving picture reproducing system and a program thereof whereby a user can simply and quickly recognize matters and contents of a moving picture of moving picture data. SOLUTION: The moving picture reproducing system and a program includes: a step S2 of an image display section 10 displaying still picture data corresponding to a plurality of moving picture data recorded in a flash memory 11 in a form of an index list; a step S4 of then selecting moving picture data corresponding to the still picture data selected by a user when it is discriminated that the user operates a key entry section 15 to select any still picture data displayed as the list (Y in S3); a step S6 of reproducing and displaying the moving picture of the moving picture data selected at a place of the list at which the selected still picture data are displayed in a state of the display of the index list when the user operates a list reproduction key (Y in S5); and a step S13 of displaying a chapter image of the selected moving picture data when it is discriminated that the user operates a chapter list display key (Y in S7).
