PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and large-current winding inductor which can be suitably used in a power supply circuit for a portable device or the like because the inductor can solve usually contradictory problems of miniaturization structure and a large current capacity. SOLUTION: In a winding inductor having a core and a winding provided around the core; the winding core has a circular cross-sectional shape, a flange is provided on one side of the core, the core has a letter-T sectional shape in its axial direction, a flat type wire covered with an insulator is wound around the winding core so that the flat wire is divided into two in the axial direction of the core, both ends of the divided wires are positioned outside, and the periphery of the flat wires is covered with a resin which has an outside shape of a rectangular parallelopiped and in which magnetic powder is dispersed.
