PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel capable of reducing a manufacturing cost as well as manufacturing processes, and with thinning of a film made easy. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel is equipped with an upper substrate and a lower substrate adhered to each other with a given spacing and an upper dielectric layer formed on the upper substrate and including a near-infrared light-shielding substance.
