PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a spark plug and to facilitate the connection of a wire to the spark plug, in the spark plug allowing combustion pressure in a combustion chamber to be detected. SOLUTION: A discharge part 100 has a center electrode 130 and an internal member in an insulating insulator 120 fixed in a first housing 110. A rod 136 is fixed to the internal member, a sensor chip 153 for outputting an electric signal according to combustion pressure in the combustion chamber is mounted on the side opposite to the rod 136. A connection part 200 has an external connector 250 electrically connected to the sensor chip 153 and the internal member. The rod 136, the sensor chip 153 and the external connector 250 are arranged coaxially with the center electrode 130; and when receiving the combustion pressure through the center electrode 130, the rod 136 is relatively displaced with respect to the first housing 110.
