PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cooling structure of a building capable of being easily constructed and being also carried out to the existing building as well as the new building. SOLUTION: In the cooling structure of the building constructed on an outdoor slab 1 of the building, a porous water retentive material 4 is laid on the slab through a strut 3, a water storage toilet 8 storing rain water or the like is placed between the slab 1 and the porous water retentive material 4 to hold an opening edge section of the water storage toilet 8 between the porous water retentive material 4 and the strut 3 to fix it, and a water absorbing member 11 by absorbing water in the water storage toilet 8 to supply the water to the porous water retentive material 4 is provided between the porous water retentive material 4 and the water storage toilet 8.
