PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet head capable of preventing ink leak or color mixture with a simple constitution, and a method for producing the inkjet head. SOLUTION: The inkjet head is equipped with an ejection port for ejecting ink, a top plate which is provided with a liquid chamber for storing the ink to be supplied to the ejection port and an ink supplying port for supplying the ink into the liquid chamber from outside, a liquid flow channel communicating the ejection port and the liquid chamber, an energy generating element which is provided at a part of the liquid flow channel and generates energy for ejecting the ink, and an ink passage member provided with an ink passage for supplying the ink communicating with the ink supply port, wherein a sealing member is provided to the top plate and to the surface facing the ink passage member, and a load is applied between the top plate and the ink passage member to extend the sealing member from between the top plate and the surface facing the ink passage member.
