PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working method of piping by which diameter-reducing work is simplified. SOLUTION: This method is a working method of the piping for reducing the diameter in the top part 1a of the piping 1 and a plurality of rollers 13 which are revolved on the same rotational orbit around the center line A1 of the top part 1a of the piping, are provided. By fixing the piping 1 in the state where the top part 1a of the piping is made free and gradually inserting the top part 1a of the piping into the center spatial part S among the plurality of the rollers 13, the diameter is reduced while freely elongating the top part 1a of the piping toward the direction of the center line A1 with the plurality of the rollers 13 which are revolved on the same rotational orbit.
