The present invention provides for an apparatus for the drying step of the printing plates for flexography, so as to let a solvent present inside the plates to evaporate, comprising a base element ( 9, 25 ) for carrying the printing plates ( 8, 26 ), and a lighting system ( 1, 23 ) above the printing plates for heating the printing plates by irradiation of visible light wavelengths.
