<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system for printing a photographic image with a handwritten message and a printing method which output a digital photographic image on a form dedicated to a digital pen, and by allowing a character or the like to be filled in thereon with a digital pen, provide photographic image printed matter with hand written characters. <P>SOLUTION: For achieving the purpose of the above problem, the system for printing a photographic image with a handwritten message, through the use of the digital pen and the form dedicated to the digital pen, prints a picture photographed by a digital camera with a handwritten message. The system has the built-in digital camera; the digital pen with a writing function; the form dedicated to the digital pen; a communication device which receives photographic image data from the digital pen, transmits a received image to a server, and receives edited data from the server; at least a photographic image information reading part; and the printing system having an output device which is connected to the communication device and outputs printed matter.
