<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out shock absorbing action while preventing the influence of pretensioner structure as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: A take-up drum 20 is rotatably supported, and a torsion bar 50 is loosely inserted in the take-up drum 20. One end portion of the torsion bar 50 is coupled to one end portion of the take-up drum 20, and the other end portion of the torsion bar 50 is coupled to a motor type second pretensioner mechanism 100 and an emergency locking action mechanism 30. After the action of the second pretensioner mechanism 100, while the emergency locking action mechanism 30 prevents rotations of the other end portion of the torsion bar 50, the torsion bar 50 is torsionally deformed and the take-up drum 20 rotates in a webbing pay-out direction, thereby shock is absorbed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
