PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of, inexpensively and with a good working efficiency while providing an excellent quality, manufacturing a composite molded product in which a resin-made edge member is insert-molded onto the outer peripheral part of a metallic plate. SOLUTION: Protruded portions 16 are partly and integrally formed in the outer peripheral part of a metallic plate 12 by forming cutout portions in the outer peripheral part by shearing work. Meanwhile, these protruded portions 16 are respectively compressed to be thinned off, thereby to form thin portions 22 as against the outer peripheral part of the metallic plate 12 using the thin-walled protruded portions 16, and a resin-made edge member 14 inside which the thin portions 22 are embedded, is integrally molded by insert-molding to the outer peripheral part of the metallic plate 12, to constitute the composite molded product.
