PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily determine image quality of a still image to be used as a material of photomovie, depending on the environment in which a user views the photomovie. SOLUTION: In creating the photomovie, a reproduction and display apparatus with which the user views the photomovie is designated in advance. Thumbnail images having different sizes are displayed on an image selection screen for selecting still images to be used as the material of the photomovie from among a plurality of still images, on the basis of the screen resolution of the designated reproduction and display apparatus. Since the still images with excellent image quality have large-sized thumbnail images, and still images with deteriorated image quality have small-sized thumbnail images; the more thumbnail images of the excellent still images are displayed on the image selection screen.
