PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a large quantity of surface mounted electronic components provided with a terminal having a total of five conductive surfaces at each of ends of a substrate. SOLUTION: Bottomed grooves 26, 28 are formed for every prescribed interval corresponding to each of first and second main surfaces 22, 24 of a base material 20 having the first and second main surfaces 22, 24 arranged in parallel with a space. A conductive paste 30 is embedded in the first and second main surfaces 22, 24 and the grooves 26, 28, and the base material 20 is cut along the grooves 26, 28. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
