PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cast-coated paper having a high gloss and pearly gloss and excellent in designing property, etc. SOLUTION: This cast-coated paper characterized by containing a pearl pigment having≥5μm as≥80 % in particle size distribution based on volume and also a plastic pigment having <300 nm mean particle diameter in a coated layer is obtained by installing the a coated layer consisting mainly of the pigments and adhesive on at least one side surface of a stock paper in the cast-coating and compressing for making the coated layer in a moist state in contact with a heated mirror surface-finished surface and drying for finishing, and the method for producing the same is also provided.
