The invention relates to a device (1) for the displacement of metallic goods (2) from or on a conveyor device (3) in a direction perpendicular to the conveyor direction, whereby the device (1) comprises a moving arm (5) which may be displaced relative to a fixed support (4), with at least one gripper element (7, 8) for gripping the metallic material (2) arranged in the end region thereof. According to the invention, a displacement of the materials from the conveyor device may be achieved in a simple and space-saving manner, whereby said device is characterised by a moving arm (5), comprising at least two arm pieces (5', 5"), whereby at least two of the arm pieces (5', 5") may be slid one within the other in a telescopic manner.
