<p>A radiation image reading apparatus having a front plate holding means, a back plate holding means, and a conveyance means for conveying at least either of the holding means between a cassette joint position and a position for reading radiation image information that substantially parallelly separates a front plate and a back plate. The conveyance means has a first link (73) whose upper end is pivotably attached to a holding means conveyed and whose lower end is vertically movably attached to an apparatus body; a second link (74) whose upper end is pivotably attached to the apparatus body and whose lower end is vertically movably attached to a holding means conveyed; a connection shaft (754) for pivotably connecting the first link (73) and the second link (74) at the portion where they cross; and an actuator (71, 72) for vertically driving the lower end of either of the links.</p> |
