<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiving device, a communication system, and a reception state information managing method which acquire reception state information not through a server and inform a user of a direction wherein a reception state is excellent. <P>SOLUTION: A reception state information management section 104 acquires channel information from a broadcast wave reception section 101, information representing reception sensitivity from a reception sensitivity acquisition section 102 and position information from a position information acquisition section 103, and stores those pieces of acquired information as reception state information into a storage section 105 while making them correspond to one another. A nearby communication section 107 transmits the reception state information stored in the storage section 105 to a nearby device, receives the reception state information from the nearby device at the transmission destination, and stores it into the storage section 105 through the reception state management section 104.
