SHORTEST ROUTE SELECTION METHOD ON MULTIPLE DOMAINS, DEVICE WITH THE METHOD APPLIED TO, AND PROGRAM FOR REALIZING THE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load of an area boundary router, and to improve routing efficiency in the shortest route selecting method for searching for the shortest route between two different nodes on a network where multiple domains exist, a device to which this method is applied and a program for realizing this method.

SOLUTION: This shortest route selection method for searching for the shortest route between two different nodes on a plurality of domain networks, where domains composed of a plurality of nodes exist, comprises a step for holding the domain and node of a start point and the domain and node of an end point and the sequence of a link connecting the domain of the start point and the domain of the end point and the domains as route information.
