<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor which enables the image of image data in a display region to be improve by applying image processing to image data in any area other than the display area as the pre-processing of encoding. <P>SOLUTION: A TV application program 200 is provided with an MPEG encode part 202 for compression-encoding broadcast program data to be outputted from an analog TV tuner 116 in a coding system in MPEG 2 specifications. Also, the TV application program 200 is provided with a preprocessing part 201 for making painting out by turning the luminance of image data in any area other than the display area among broadcast program data to be outputted from the analog TV tuner 116 into 0.
