PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an array antenna system with desired directivity for suppressing manufacturing cost by sharing sharable parts between element antennas in a power source device. SOLUTION: This array antenna device is configured to thin out element antennas by exciting or not exciting the element antennas in order to obtain desired directivity, wherein a sub-array 2 to be excited and a sub-array 3 not to be excited are configured by integrating a plurality of the element antennas into a unit, and thinning-out by sub-array units is carried out so that element density distribution to be acquired by being projected to an orthogonal x axis and a y axis on a plane where the element antennas of the sub-array 2 to be excited are distributed can be turned to be desired element density distribution.
