PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent visibility without generating a distortion on edges of vehicle sides on a display monitor, in a vehicle view assist device having an imaging means attached to the housing of a door mirror so as to be able to take an image of front and back of a vehicle side, a display monitor provided inside the vehicle which enables visibility of a vehicle driver, and an image processing means displaying an image obtained by processing an imaging signal by the imaging means on the display monitor. SOLUTION: An imaging means 14L is attached to the lower part of a housing 13L so that a line L1 parallel to a front and back direction of a vehicle and an optical axis RA may be crossed through the outside edge of the ground of the front wheel WF of the vehicle.
