PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burner and fuel combustion equipment having this burner, superior in an environmental aptitude, without the problem in cost, by performing luminous flame combustion without adding a luminance improving agent, by using oxygen-including fuel such as dimethyl ether (DME). SOLUTION: This burner 10 forms fuel flow passages 341A and 341B and air flow passages 346A and 346B, and has a burner tip 340 on the tip for atomizing the fuel such as the DME by pressure of an atomizing medium from a delivery hole 349 communicating with both passages. In the burner 10 and the fuel combustion equipment having this burner 10, a cylindrical member 400 communicated in air with the delivery hole 349 and having a substantially truncated cone-shaped cavity part 415 extending in the direction for atomizing the fuel, is arranged on the delivery hole 349 side of the burner tip 340.
