PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain increase in electric power consumption, by further effectively recovering heat exhausted outdoors left unrecovered by the total heat exchange elements. SOLUTION: This air conditioner has an indoor unit 10A integrally unitized by an air conditioner body 100A and a total heat exchanger body 200A having the total heat exchange elements 11; and has an outdoor unit 10B having an outdoor heat exchanger 3. The total heat exchanger body 200A has an air supply fan 13 for introducing outside air into a room via the total heat exchange elements 11, and an exhaust fan 23 for exhausting inside air outside the room via the total heat exchange elements 11; and is constituted so as to introduce the outside air passed through the total heat exchange elements 11 into the room via an air supply duct 12 by the air supply fan 13 in operation of the total heat exchanger body 200A and exhaust the inside air passed through the total heat exchange elements 11 to the air inflow side of the outdoor heat exchanger 3 of the outdoor unit 10B via an exhaust duct 24 by the exhaust fan 23.
