PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control an superheating degree of refrigerant gas to a preset superheating degree only by an expansion valve. SOLUTION: A pressure receiving plate 23 for exerting dynamic pressure of fluid flowing in a flow passage chamber 17 in the valve opening direction, is arranged in a valve stem part 22 of a valve element 20, and a flow rate of a refrigerant flowing to an evaporator 1003 is controlled by a flow rate adjusting part 21 of the valve element 20 in response to dynamic pressure of a refrigerant flow on the outlet side of the evaporator 1003, and the superheating degree of the refrigerant gas sucked in a compressor 1001, is self-controlled to the preset superheating degree.
